Guru Nanak Dev Academy is marching ahead to attain sublime excellence. Excellent results have been achieved in the last academic session 2017-18. 97 students appeared in the +2 class in the session 2017-18. Their performance was really appreciable. The names of the toppers are

Religious/Cultural Activities :

Besides the Academics, the students of the Academy have brought laurels in various fields including Sports and religious competitions.

    The Academy lays emphasis on the spiritual and moral development of a child. Besides the academics our students also participate in all religious and cultural activities.

Activities in session 2018-19:

  • In the month of May, SST Department organized the quiz from classes 6th to 12th. 6 students from different houses participated in the quiz.

  • In the month of July, our Hindi Department organized the Hindi skit (based on Moral Values) and story competition. Students of different classes were participated.

  • On 15th August, out music teacher prepared the group patriotic song. 30 students were participated in this song. Students showed their performance at Pehowa Mandi. They were honoured by SDM Pehowa.

Our Art & Craft Department organized the Rangoli (Inter Class) Making Competition. Students prepared very beautiful rangolis.

  • In the month of November, Art & Divinity Department organized the Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition (Class 9th to 12th). Theme of Posters was Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Theme of Slogans was Sloks of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. Studnets prepared very beautiful charts. 25 students participated in slogan writing. 19 stduents participated in Poster making.

Besides these activities, like Tree plantation, Traffic Rule Competition, Swachh Bharat Week, Children Day, Teachers day were celebrated in academy.

  • In the month of December, Academy organized the beautiful culture programme of junior students for parents. Hon’ble Chairman Baba Jagtar Singh Ji was present in this function. Block Officer Pehowa was the chief guest in this function.

On 18th December about 400 studnets participated in Geeta Salok Recitation at Theme Park Kurukshetra.

  • This year school organized educational trips from classes 1st to 8th to Fun World Patiala, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib and Fatehgarh Sahib.
  • Religious Activities
  • In the month of August, Sikh Missionary College Ludhiana organizes different religious competition like Kirtan, Lectures Poetry and Conversation etc. at Ludhiana.
  • This year music teacher and Divinity teacher got the opportunity to prepare the students for different competition.
  • 3 groups of shabad kirtan (4 x 3 = 12 students)
  • 3 groups of lectures (3 students)
  • 1 group of poem (1 student)

16 students went to Ludhiana. They performed very confidently on the stage.

Our 4 students from 6thh to 8th Classes got 2nd position in Shabad Gayana Competition.

Our one student Arpan Kaur from 9th Class got consolation prize in religious poetry recitation.  Our one student Arman Singh from 5th Class got 2nd position in Lecture competition.

  • On the Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birthday, there was Shri Akhand Path in gurudwara sahib. Our staff, management and students along with transport department did sewa jointly to get blessings. Many students recited shabad kirtan, poems, speeches and conversations on the topic of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
  • Many students appeared in Sikh Missionary written test conducted by SMC Ludhiana.
